We are honored to welcome you to Still Waters Lodge. Our hope is that your time here is filled with peace, rest, reflection, and meaningful moments with those you love.

 

This lodge is offered as a gift, and we ask that you help us care for it so that future guests may experience the same beauty and tranquility. Thank you for treating the cabin, the property, and our neighbors with kindness and respect.

 

If there is anything you need during your stay, please do not hesitate to reach out. Your comfort and experience are very important to us.

Maximum occupancy is 8 guests.

Care and Instructions

  • Please treat the cabin, furnishings, and amenities with care.

  • Please leave the lodge in a clean and respectful condition.

  • If anything is not meeting your expectations or something needs attention, please let us know as soon as possible. We would much rather have the opportunity to address an issue during your stay than have you leave disappointed.

  • Please do not remove items from the property or rearrange furniture in a way that may cause damage.

To help provide a comfortable environment for all guests and to maintain the cleanliness of the lodge, PETS ARE NOT PERMITTED at Still Waters Lodge.

We invite you to enjoy the beauty of the river area on the cabin side only.

 

Please do not cross to the marked fence, as that property belongs to our neighbor. We kindly ask that you respect their privacy and do not walk, explore, or park on their land.

River Safety

 

The river is one of the most special features of Still Waters Lodge, and we hope you enjoy its beauty. However, please remember that it is a natural body of water and conditions can change quickly.

  • Children must be supervised at all times when near the river.

  • There is no lifeguard on duty. All swimming, wading, boating, and river activities are at your own risk.

  • Please pay close attention to the speed of the river current. At times, the river can move quickly and become dangerous, especially after rain or changing weather conditions.

  • Water levels can vary significantly. Please use caution when entering the water and be aware that areas that appear shallow may change with conditions.

  • Please be cautious of the very deep mud located near the dock. Enter the water carefully and avoid areas where footing is uncertain.

  • Please use good judgment and do not enter the water during unsafe conditions.

 

Your safety and enjoyment are very important to us. We encourage you to appreciate the river while respecting its power and unpredictability.

Guests are welcome to drive down to the river access area. However, the road is steep and may be soft or uneven depending on weather conditions.

  • A four-wheel drive (4WD) or all-wheel drive (AWD) vehicle is strongly recommended.

  • Two-wheel drive vehicles may have difficulty, especially after rain or when the ground is soft.

  • If you are unsure whether your vehicle can safely make the trip, we recommend parking at the cabin and walking to the river instead.

Guests are welcome to enjoy the kayaks, paddleboards, and life jackets provided at the lodge.

 

Please help us care for this equipment:

  • Return all kayaks, paddleboards, and life jackets to their designated racks after use.

  • Kayaks should be placed upside down on the racks to allow water to drain properly.

  • Please ensure life jackets are returned so they are available for future guests.

  • Please inspect equipment before use and use good judgment based on your experience and current conditions.

Please enjoy the hot tub responsibly and safely.

  • Children must be supervised at all times. Do not leave children unattended in or around the hot tub.

  • Use the hot tub at your own risk.

  • Please use caution when entering and exiting the hot tub, as surfaces may be slippery.

  • Do not use the hot tub while intoxicated. Alcohol and hot tubs can be a dangerous combination.

  • No food or beverages are permitted in the hot tub.

  • No glass containers are permitted in or around the hot tub.

  • Please replace the cover after use.

  • A propane grill is provided as well as fire wood for the fire pit

  • Never leave fires unattended.

  • Ensure fires are completely extinguished before leaving the area.

  • Please use caution with the grill and clean it after use.

Still Waters Lodge is intended to be a peaceful retreat.

  • Please observe quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

  • No parties, events, or large gatherings without prior approval.

  • Please be respectful of our neighbors and the peaceful character of the area.

To help prevent problems with wildlife:

  • Please place all trash in the outdoor trash can.

  • Make sure the trash can strap is secured after placing trash inside.

  • Do not leave food or trash outside of the designated containers.

We hope your stay at Still Waters Lodge is peaceful and trouble-free. However, please familiarize yourself with the following safety information in case an emergency arises.

  • For any serious or life-threatening emergency, please call 911.

  • Emergency responders should be contacted immediately for situations requiring urgent medical attention.

First Aid & Safety Equipment

  • A well-stocked medical kit is available in the laundry room.

  • A fire extinguisher is located under the kitchen sink.

  • Please familiarize yourself with the location of these items shortly after arrival.

 

Fire Safety

  • Never leave candles, fires, grills, or other heat sources unattended.

  • In the event of a fire, evacuate the cabin immediately and call 911.

  • Only attempt to use the fire extinguisher if it is safe to do so and you have a clear escape path.

 

Your safety is important to us. Please enjoy the beauty of Still Waters Lodge while using good judgment and taking appropriate precautions.

Before departing, please help us prepare the lodge for the next guests:

Inside:

  • Place all trash in the designated container and secure the trash can strap.

  • Wash dishes or start the dishwasher.

  • Strip the beds but leave sheets at foot of the bed

  • Place towels on the floor in the bathroom

Outside:

  • Return kayaks, paddleboards, life jackets, and other equipment to their proper locations.

  • Kayaks should be placed upside down on the racks.

  • Return furniture and outdoor items to their original locations.

  • Check that doors and windows are secured.

  • Take all personal belongings with you.
